Connecting to POD
By Telnet [click to connect]
You can connect to POD using the "telnet" program. This is
a standard program available on all popular computers. If you are
running Windows then select the "Start" button, then "Run" and type:
telnet tursiops.org 7300
and you should be connected to POD. If you are running UNIX then
typing the above command in a terminal window will connect you.
Windows users should be aware that the standard version of telnet isn't
very good and cannot handle colors. If you'd like colors then we suggest
you try CRT.
By Java Telnet [click to connect]
If you are using a Java Compliant
browser (netscape & internet explorer 3 and above), you can connect to POD via the web!
This method is best if you either don't want to download any programs, or you're
on a machine that is not yours. It is a very user-friendly interface
and even supports ansi colors!
By CRT [Download CRT]
CRT is a 32-bit terminal emulator designed
for Internet and intranet use with support for both the telnet and rlogin protocols.
CRT is extremely customizable and easy to use. Remote sites (such as POD) can be
easily accessed by just entering a hostname.
