POD ranks
Outcast
The outcast, is what becomes of you should you violate the rules of
POD and get arrested. Virtually all rights are taken away from you,
until an adphin lets you out.
Calf
Calf, is the rank that all new users will start at. Just like a real
dolphin pod, it takes time for new users to be accepted and trusted. New
pod members seldom are able to do all of the things that normal pod
members are able to and this fact of life is reflected perfectly on
this talker. From this rank, new users have enough commands to
determine if they want to stay on POD.
Transient
The Transient rank is the next step above calf. Users with this rank
gain more commands, and will be allowed into the main room where they
can continue to build upon their relationship with the users of POD.
Member
This is the standard level of established users on POD. This level has a
full scope of basic talker/interaction commands and is not a position
which the administrators of POD will put any responsibility unto.
Compliance with POD rules and ENJOYING yourself; just like all normal
dolphins do. :)
Elder
This is the first 'Adphin' rank on POD. This level has the
responsibility of handling any on-line disputes between users, helping new
users become comfortable, and helping with the design or new rooms, new
commands, and notifying coders of any errors present. This rank also can
communicate in the adphin only channel and has the ability to be invisible,
so if you don't see anyone online, that doesn't mean no one is there. ;-)
Shaman
The Shaman is the second Adphin rank. The Shaman is the figure of equality,
and assists the law enforcement in POD. The coders of POD posess this rank
and have an array of advanced commands specialized to help run a POD.
The dolphin that holds this position is trusted fully to be un-biased
and fair. This position only answers to one higher and because of the level
of trust that POD has for he Shaman, conclusions are seldom questioned.
Respect whatever user holds this position, they have earned it. In the
absence of a pod leader, the shaman is to be treated as such.
Leader
The Leaders are the highest ranking adphins of POD. Daily, they manage
the pod; from new ideas to complaints to ensuring the place is
running smoothly and bug free. This place would not be if it weren't for
those that hold this position. These are your leaders, not to be
feared, but rather to be trusted and embraced for all their efforts
on your behalf.
